Adorable 3-legged Yorkie needs a caring ‘auntie’

About this assignment

Hiro is a 12 year old 3-legged Standard Yorkie (5.5kg) who was abandoned after a car accident which resulted in the amputation of his front leg. He adores people and children. He does suffer from separation anxiety so cannot be left alone but in France dogs are welcomed in many places (except supermarkets, hospitals and government buildings!)

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Love and feed Hiro; short daily walks; take him with you on excursions - he loves the car. Water a few outdoor plants but I have someone who comes weekly to clean the pool and cut the grass.

What are the good features of the property and location

2-bedroom house with large garden and small swimming pool located near the Pont du Gard and 15 minutes from Uzes; 35 minutes to Avignon and Nimes. Uzes has one of the best markets in the south of France, and has some lovely shops and restaurants in town. It is a very popular town for tourists in the region, but also has a nice local community.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Hiro suffers from separation anxiety and cannot be left alone - this is very important. Small village with Tabac/groceries, boulangerie and 2 bistro restaurants. Major supermarkets are 15 minutes drive. Your own car would be needed

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: Hiro gets on with cats and other dogs but he is not keen on non-neutered male beagles !
