Your attention please: We are tweaking the way you search our sitter wanted listings (We also need more house sitter members!) ‘Why now?’ you may ask…

Well because, at the depths of the pandemic global crisis, and despite extending our house sitters’ memberships for free for an extra six months, we lost almost half of you! Sob! Anyhow, fast forward to July ’22, and as we’re coming out of that valley, our home owners are ramping up their activity through us. Yay! Unfortunately, our house sitter members are still only at 63% of pre-Covid levels and aren’t able to fill all of our home owners’ positions.

Let’s fill our books with happy house sitters again. Tell your house sitting friends we need them too!

For the reasons outlined above, we’ve changed the way you access our sitter wanted listings. Hence the ‘Default’ mode for searching our listings will now show you our least ‘responded to’ sitter wanted listings first. Look at the numbers (bottom right corner of each listing) as you scroll through your search results to see what we mean. We’ve done this to bring some love to those of our listings that currently have a ZERO rating for their respondees. We hope you agree that this is more fair. Unlike with our competitors, where home owners can be deluged – as these websites have a ratio of way too many house sitters to home owners members – we’ve swung the other way! Which is great for our house sitter members but our home owner members are missing out… So yes, if there’s a ZERO on a listing, we recommend you write to these home owners and get into their Inbox as ‘lucky first’.
