About this sitter
Retired American couple (non-smokers). Both like staying busy with outdoor activities. She likes working in the garden. He is handy around the house. Both are cat & dog lovers. We pet sit our grand puppies & grand kitty on a regular basis. We have been vaccinated & ready to travel/housesit.
Why they want to house sit
We travel to escape the heat in Texas during the summer months. Five trips to Ireland/UK in the past nine years. Love the culture, heritage, museums, galleries of the old world.
Their experience
Just finished our 1st assignment in the United Kingdom. The homeowners were extremely satisfied with our care for their home & pet. For US housesits we would drive to your location. For international assignments we would like a minimum of 30-60 days advanced notice so we can book airfare at a reasonable cost & prefer to housesit close to public transportation as we will be without a vehicle.
What can they bring to the assignment
A sense of integrity in treating your pets like our own with multiple daily walks (dogs) & love. Both are willing & able to maintain your home as you wish & are concerned about leaving your home in better condition than when we arrived.

Perfect Couple for a sensitive dog
Mike and Maryann house sat for us for almost four weeks in August 2022. They wanted to escape the Texas heat but it was very warm in the U.K. so maybe they didn't get their wish. They were great. They were completely trustworthy and reliable. Normally when Ben is looked after, even by our own daughter, he goes off his food and can be a little sad. They seemed to have absolutely no problems at all with him and he is a very sensitive dog . One of my biggest concerns was that Ben wasn't left on his own too much as he is used to people and my other two dogs. Mike assured me that their priority whilst house sitting was to look after Ben and that is what they did. You will be really blessed if you are lucky enough to get this lovely couple to housesit for you. I would have them back in a blink.
