About this sitter

We are responsible loving adults who have raised 5 children and multiple pets over our time together. We enjoy the loving companionship that pets provide. I am retired from a 28 year career in financial services. I work very flexible part-time jobs to fill in the gaps between home projects and travelling. My wife works as a software engineer for a major consumer goods company. We enjoy travelling to experience new places by immersing ourselves into the culture, whether it is in the city, the country, mountains or the beach. We are looking for the opportunity to travel and care for your home and pets, while getting to see the world. We have completed sits that were only a couple days to a few weeks and more so we are open to any timeframe needed. I try to keep my availability updated. Most dates are always flexible when enough advance notice is given.

Why they want to house sit

As pet owners we understand the stress of leaving pets in a kennel or boarding facility and know that pets always prefer staying in their own home. We want to give pet owners the peace of mind that their pets and homes will be well cared for in their absence. When we travel, As long as there is high-speed WIFI my wife will work from home so we provide a lot of companionship for the pets we sit. Housesitting offers the opportunity to travel to meet new people, experience culture and contribute to the community. We love learning about new places, being immersed in the community, and caring for others. We are looking for opportunities to experience the world by caring for others pets and homes as if they were our own.

Their experience

We have had some form of pet all of our lives. We have had dogs, cats, birds and newts. We have cared for the homes and pets of our parents, our adult children and our friends. We rescued 3 stray sibling kittens many years ago. No worries though as we have adult children at home and nearby that will care for out cats while we care for your home and pets. We have used another service to pet sit and have cared for cats, dogs, chickens and fish. We have not yet had a sit through this site but have through another service. Being responsible and professional adults who have owned multiple homes have raised 5 children and multiple pets, you will get total love, respect and care for your home and pets as if they were our own. Not only can we manage animal caretaking, we also do basic household chores, gardening and some light repair/maintenance work as needed. When you arrive home you will see how well your pets were loved and a well cared for home. You will not regret selecting us to care for your pets and home.
