I'll be doing research for a book in Iceland and visiting family in Brooklyn, NY as positions are available in those locations.

Their experience

Most recently, I took care of four cats in an apartment in Manhattan, NY for two weeks. I have a lot of experience with cats, dogs, and small mammals. I have a good sense of when something's not right, or at least a sense of when I should wonder if it is or not. I've tended an extensive vegetable garden, can wield a scythe or lawnmower with equal dexterity, and I have been caring for my own home for 20 years. I am a conscientious, detail-oriented caretaker. I have sat house and animals for friends and famiIy for decades, and can provide character references from people I work with. As I have been a public school teacher for the past 10 years, and am still substitute teaching, I have passed a Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Background Check as required by the Colorado Department of Education.

I bring an enthusiasm and care for your special place, plants, and special furry/scaled/finned/feathered friends. I am a low-key friendly homebody who will treat your place with the attention it needs while you are out exploring and connecting with others.
