Mature woman, responsible, respectful, loves cats (also dogs but knows cats better)

About this sitter

I am a healthy, vibrant, quiet woman in my 70s who loves to be at home and take care of it. I work from home, online (I help people write books), and so my experience of being in a home is quite respectful of the place. I love cats, and have a beloved cat, myself. I also love dogs, but know cats better. (I did have a dog as a youth.) I am good with animals.

Why they want to house sit

I like to be in a stable place when I am traveling to a new place. Hotels are impersonal (as well as expensive). A home someone lives in has an atmosphere of care. House sitting affords me a way to be "at home" when away, and also to have the sweet company of an animal to care for.

Their experience

I am an experienced cat-carer (my own seven-year-old cat is happy and healthy), and I take very good care of my own home, a well-preserved rented flat. I clean up, make sure things are in their right place, compost, and all of that. I have not traveled since the start of Covid, so at this point house- and pet-sitting is a new offering.

What can they bring to the assignment

As I've indicated, I am mature, respectful of a home, a lover of animals. I make the effort to create a pleasant atmosphere in the home, and do whatever needs to be done, as agreed with the home owner. And I am likely to stay inside the housesit home pretty regularly during the time period, since I work online and would be working for at least part of the time during the house-sit period.
