Experienced house sitting couple and animal care, retired former hotel owner from Finland

About this sitter

We are a couple in our 60's, originally Dutch(man, S.Korean (wife) married for 37 years Having lived in the USA,, Japan, Korea, traveled and worked in Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong kong and Thailand and the last 27 years living in Finland where we had a small hotel and campground in Lapland and winter activities.

We have had animals most of our life, in our youth and when we had the hotel. Dog as we as a cat. At this moment we do not have any animals but take occasionally take care of animals from friends and neighbours when the are on holiday.
But a request for countries with long distances to shops and sightseeing and insufficient public transportation we would required a car to be included with the property. Like in countries like the USA.

Why they want to house sit

For my previous job, before we had the hotel, we travelled a lot, always hotels, not enough time to really enjoy a place. We love animals like dogs and cats, chickens or rabbits etc. In my youth we always had animals at home and in Finland, when our life kept us in one place, we had a dog (st.Bernard) and a cat. unfortunately they have passed after a long life. We love to take care of other people's animals in combination of taking care of the home of the pets. We are clean, carefull, technical educated, having a restaurant serving hygiene pass, fire safety and done a first aid course. We speak English, Dutch, Korean, Japanese, German and Finnish. We love to swim and do fitness and love to walk the dogs and experienced in training a dog, if necessary, and we are in good health

Their experience

In house sitting it is our first registration since we recently retired, but having had a hotel and restaurant where we took care of everything ourselves,we feel experienced. We can do light maintenance, cleaning, hygiene, fire safety, animal caring, feeding, administering medicine to animals, if needed, oral or injections. Cleaning a swimming pool or mowing the lawn.

What can they bring to the assignment

Animal love. Treating the house like our own.
