Retired American/Thai couple looking to revisit US or Europe

I'm a retired musician, computer programmer, and sometime writer, with a grad degree in Comparative Lit. I speak English, Thai, German, and mediocre French. Noi is a runner and sometime singer whose joie de vivre is nonpareil. Noi and I are happily living in Thailand, but we enjoy coming to the States every year, or at most two, for periods from 2 months to 6. We'd also love to spend more time in Europe. I lived in Switzerland for a year as a young man.
We're very flexible, and there are no demanding schedules, so it could be almost any time of the year. I lived most of my life in California, so my "druthers" look first for places there, but we've both been all over the U.S. and nearly anywhere would be enjoyable. I've lived on the East Coast, in New Orleans, and other places. Rural or urban, classy or pedestrian, anything works if it's a comfortable and safe place. We love animals, and can do cat- or dog-sitting. My German is still good, but I'd love a chance to brush up on it more. I speak French well enough to communicate fairly easily, but would welcome a chance to really up my level.

Why they want to house sit

Because 1) I don't have any property in the US anymore! (and never have, in Europe) . . . 2) rents and prices for other accommodations are really high everywhere, and 3) Noi and I are adventurous and like to experience new things.

Their experience

We haven't done house sitting per se before, but we have spent months in an unused condo owned by a friend. I'm sure she will give us an excellent review as to how we took care of her place. We followed her instructions to the letter. We also have a good review from an AirBnB we stayed in down in New Orleans.

What can they bring to the assignment

Great energy, plus the maturity and responsibility of having owned property and raised kids to adulthood.
