Hi! I'm Syd and I am a 30 year old working professional who recently left government work to become a full time freelance writer! I live in Pensacola, Florida where I own my home.

My partner Lux and I love to traveling in a budget-conscious way. In 2023, we explored Ireland, NYC, Boston, Providence, Philadelphia, Birmingham, NOLA, Gatlinburg, Nashville, and Knoxville (I know I'm forgetting some).

Lux is a union ironworker which often means traveling for work and I enjoy being able to join. At home, we enjoy spending time with friends, eating great food, and playing with our dashund Enzo.

I am looking for a tidy, cozy space with or without pets. I love both rural and urban locations and prefer to stay somewhere thats home-y and not sterile (like a hotel).

Why they want to house sit

I love to house sit because it gives me the opportunity to visit new places and spend more time in the cities I love.

As the cost of living continues to rise, I hope to be able to provide reliable housesitting in exchange for time spent in your lovely space (and with your sweet animals).

I have house sat and pet sat for many friends and family. I am also a lifelong dog owner and have experience with dogs ranging from puppies all the way to seniors with special needs.

I have also been a guest in many AIRBNB units where I review stellar reviews on cleanliness, adherence to rules, and communication.

I own my own home so I know how important it is to protect your investment.

What can they bring to the assignment

By welcoming me into your home you are getting a guest who cares about your space and your special critters (plants included!).

I will be sure to provide as frequent communication as you want, but won't be a pest. I'm resourceful and polite.
