Retired Single Lady and Lifetime Pet Owner

About this sitter

Having been a humanitarian worker and lifetime pet owner and caregiver, I have been busy with my own responsibilities. Now that I am recently retired and also lost my longtime canine friend, I am looking to continue part-time pursuits in the areas in which I am most passionate and experienced.

Why they want to house sit

I spent years helping raise my beautiful little Maltese Terrier as well as help my friends and family with their pets. I spent many hours walking and sharing my single life with these 'best friends,' I also took initiative to do research into caring for their health and well being. I am healthy but not ready to recommit to another pet; therefore I can fill a need for another and possibly find that this service will be a good transition for myself.

Their experience

Yes, I have taken care of multiple dogs and cats. Most were not my own initially, but belonged to others who did not have the time to commit to their own animal's care. There was a time when I cared for four dogs- two larger and two small breed dogs. Besides my jobs of teaching and childcare, this has been an important secondary pursuit of mine.

What can they bring to the assignment

I would be committed to the well being of your pet, giving it the loving attention, exercise, and safety that I would expect for a pet of my own. I am healthy enough for my age, also living on a third floor apartment with stairs.
