Responsible Loving Pet and Housesitter

About this sitter

I've largely watched over pets and homes of people I know. I've property managed for my parents and watched over their dogs. I've watched over the home and pet of my neighbor Becky when she went away on business trips or to see her daughters. I'm on another housesitting site where I've completed several housesits and have reviews. Contact me for the info. I've taken care of my own pets and have had guests at my house through airbnb for over 12 years. I've built an off grid house and am currently almost done building a sauna for myself. I'm looking for a housesit that is positive for both of us. I would like it to be ok for either one friend or my partner to join me at the housesit when possible. Both my best girlfriend and my partner are very busy working but can help with the housesit and be company for me often during the weekend or for a portion of a sit. The type of sit I'm looking for varies. Immediately I'm looking for housesits close to me and during the week. During the winter I'm looking for longer sits in foreign countries.

Why they want to house sit

I enjoy taking a break from my routine and my projects and I've found the best way to do that is to go somewhere new. I love animals and have always had one or two of my own and this seems like a way to help someone else and keep things affordable for myself. I myself have had a housesitter just this past winter for 2 months so I'm aware of what someone wants from a housesitter.

I've been caring for pets my whole life. Over the past 10 years I've petsit largely for friends and family and only this past year have begun pet sitting for strangers.

What can they bring to the assignment

I am capable of handling an emergency and additionally I have done a lot of housebuilding so I can evaluate and problem solve things that come up on your property. I am comfortable admitting when I don't know something-- I won't just plow through an issue. When there's uncertainty I'll check in with a question. In addition, I am reliable and sober so I can handle problems if they arise.
