About this sitter
I am a friendly, mature, educated and responsible female property manager and pet lover.
Why they want to house sit
I have the academic summers (May - August) and winter break (mid Dec - mid Jan) off and like to travel during that time frame. I would enjoy house sitting in different locations and having furry companions as company.
Their experience
I have been a house director/on site property manager at a sorority at the University of Florida for over 20 years. Among other things, I am responsible for the maintenance and upkeep on a 30,000 square foot state of the art living facility. I was also a private home owner for 20+ years. I am an avid pet lover and have had dogs, cats and horses as my fur babies. I am an empty nester now as my last fur baby passed away in April 2023. I miss furry companionship and pet sitting helps fill that void.
I have also done private house sitting, caring for cats, dogs, horses and plants.
What can they bring to the assignment
I can bring my years of experience in caring for others property and pets. I generally leave any place as good or better than I found it. I take care of others property and pets as if they were my own.
I can provide references upon request. I have had thorough backgrounds checks for my position at UF. I also have several positive testimonials on House Sitters America that I can provide upon request.

Jere is the perfect person for staying in your home. She stayed with our 3 cats for 9 days and took care of everything so that we didn't need to worry about them on vacation. She appreciated my notes and printed instructions - some may find them excessive, but she totally understood and followed them. The house was orderly and clean when we got home and the kitties were happy! Her communication was good, sending pictures and updates as I'd asked. I highly recommend her services!

Easygoing, reliable, lovely!
Jere is absolutely wonderful! She was so easy to work with and we felt 100% confident leaving our anxious rescue dog in her care, even while he was still recovering from a very bad experience at a boarding facility the week before. She had no problem giving medication and following specific instructions for our pets. Jere was happy to stay in touch as much or as little as we liked and we felt totally at ease with every update. We returned to a spotless house and a very happy and healthy dog and cat. I 110% recommend Jere for your house + pet sitting needs!
