About this sitter

My name is Santa Ignace and I am Latvian-Irish musician, composer, film maker, writer and an ambassador of culture.

I discovered Ireland in 2007, fell in love with Irish nature and Irish people and decided to stay. I am currently living in Cork and working as a Piano Lecturer in MTU Cork School of Music. When I have a free time, I love travelling and exploring new culture, I love working on new projects, learn a new language and discover hidden gems.

Although, I love all big and small animals, I always had a special bond with cats. It all started when I was only one year old - she followed me everywhere (even to school and back), she played with me (she was my childhood doll), she taught me who’s allowed in the house and who’s not, she taught me delicate love.

I give undivided attention to animals I’m assigned to and I feel complete responsibility to look after them and make sure they’re well fed and entertained.

Why they want to house sit

My lifestyle involves quite a bit of travelling, so I try and get my cat therapy whenever I go and explore. It is an opportunity to have time to yourself, learn new language, make new friends and get inspired.

Their experience

Growing up with cats was natural in our family. It created bond between us that allowed me to learn every detail about cats - each one of them have individual character that intuitively tells me how to handle them.

I’ve been repeatedly minding my friends and families cats for the last twenty years so looking after them has become an easy yet rewarding task.

What can they bring to the assignment

I’m a born cat loving person, quirky humoured and responsible minder that is tidy, well mannered and always curious.

As an artist, I spend a lot of time writing or reading so the company of cats suits me well.
