Hi there my name is Amanda. I am a midwest girl whose been living in Madison, Wisconsin the past 10 years (originally from Iowa City). But most recently I needed a change of pace and moved out to Colorado. I currently am staying with my cousin near Denver and I help to watch her 10 year old son when she is traveling for work. I work remotely and I love to travel. I am very responsible as I grew up on a horse farm and know all about the importance of attention to detail, reliability, good communication and trust. I look forward to house sitting for you!

Why they want to house sit

I do love to travel! I also don't currently own a home of my own and I am staying with my cousin and her son near Denver. During this time I am able to save money to own a home of my own which I am excited to do someday! House sitting allows me to have a bit of space and allows me to break up my own routine. It also allows me to travel and experience a new city and culture all while giving back to someone who is looking for a reliable person to tend to their home.

Their experience

Yes! I have house sat many times before. I am very attentive to the specific details and expectations that most home owners set forth before they leave. I have house sat for large homes that are on large properties out in more rural areas as well as homes that are in town. Both types of homes are very different and I am experienced in both. I know how important it is to feel like someone really cares about those specific things that are important to keep an eye out for. Being attentive and aware of the property and anything out of the ordinary are all very useful skills I find very helpful when house sitting.

What can they bring to the assignment

I work from home! This is one of the best things I can bring to the assignment. I will be very present during the day, Monday through Friday! This makes it easy for you to know that your home will be well cared for and safe while you are away. Because I grew up on a farm, I tend to be very handy, a good critical thinker and I am resourceful. For those odd moments or possible times that there might be a bad storm, or a garage door gets stuck open, or a gate handle gets jammed or breaks...I can quite successfully navigate my way around those situations that might otherwise pose themselves as serious issues for people that have never had to handle tough situations before.
