Hello! My name is Maria, and I’m based in London, where I’m completing my studies in Teaching Foreign Languages while exploring opportunities in Counseling

When my partner has a business trip, I discovered that instead of staying in boring London, alone and with bad weather, thanks to house-sitting, I have the opportunity to access truly wonderful rural and countryside escapes from the city that always leave me with beautiful memories.

Taking care of animals in my free time as a way to disconnect has become my new favorite hobby.

My love for animals is deeply rooted in my upbringing. Coming from a family with a farming background, I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, and even horses, which fostered a lifelong appreciation and affection for all kinds of pets.

After many years in the corporate world, I’ve decided to embrace a more fulfilling path—combining my love for animals with my passion for teaching languages remotely.

These experiences have brought immense joy to my life, allowing me to bond with amazing pets, travel, and connect with wonderful people across the UK and beyond.

I have a natural affinity for animals, be it dogs, cats, birds, farm animals, reptiles, or fish. I take great pride in ensuring that every pet feels comfortable, cared for, and loved in my care.

Why they want to house sit

I’m seeking opportunities to house sit and care for pets, which I find incredibly satisfying and meaningful. Being flexible and reliable, I’m open to assignments where I can bring joy to pets while focusing on my studies.

Their experience

I have experience caring for large animals in rural places and cottage that require intelligence, positive leadership, and patience, such as Bullmastiffs, as well as energetic breeds like Labradors and German Shepherds.

I have also cared for medium-sized animals and those that need affection and extra attention, such as smaller pets. My journey into pet sitting began with caring for friends’ homes and pets during my travels.

Recently, I’ve looked after three cats and goats in Switzerland, Germany, and Cyprus.

Each experience has been unique and taught me even more about understanding and meeting the needs of different animals.
