Hello, my name is Lorna! I call myself the dogless dog lover. I’m a massive animal person. I’m 37, single, and a non-smoker living in London but originally from Ireland. I work as a freelance Senior Project Manager in marketing. Most of my gigs are remote, allowing me to travel and work from different locations.
Last summer, I spent my time pet sitting around Europe, and I have regular dog sits in Ireland too, which allows me to spend more time at home. I’m a respectful, clean, and caring person who loves spending time with animals, especially bringing dogs on walks and exploring with them. Wonderful, compassionate, responsible sitter
My husband and I went on 2 different trips with a 2 day stop over at home in between end of November beginning of December 2024. We had to find a sitter that could accommodate that and the possibility we may have a realtor show our place. In addition, because our new residence cards had not come in, we had to change our holidays dates. We were so lucky that Lorna contacted us and from the beginning said for us to keep in touch because she’s flexible at this time. Lorna and I talked for over half hour and I knew right away she is a kind and sweet person who loves animals. I stayed in touch giving her updates and sending funny photos of our cat Karellen. Lorna, was coming from Ireland flying to Portugal, Faro airport, this part of southern Portugal is deserted at this time of year. Lorna planed her trip so that she had plenty of time to get to us the day before we left. Lorna is a super organized person with lots of travel and sitting experience. We can’t say enough about how wonderful Lorna is, how kind and compassionate she is. It takes a while for Karellen to warm up to people, he is very aloof. Well, by day 2 Karellen was in her lap for the evening tv watching. He slept on her bed and during the day while she was working would be right there in the room sleeping. The 2 days stop over went very quickly; Lorna went out to explore for the 2 days giving us the crazy frenzy time for getting ready to go from summer Morrocco clothes to cold Germany winter clothes. We found our home neat and clean just as we left it. Lorna is fun to talk to, she is well traveled so we had lots to chat about and her attention to Karellen was sweet. As we sat on the couch the first evening home, Karellen went right to Lorna’s lap and that’s where he intended to stay, this is very unusual for him. Lorna stayed in touch sending us txt updates and photos. Karellen has some stomach issues so I’m always concerned that he’s ok and he was. Staying in touch is important to me. When we let Lorna know, we landed in Faro, we told her to go ahead and leave, we’d be home in 45min or so and I know she had more plans before going home. When we got home Lorna has washed her sheets and towels and again found our home as clean as we left it. We don’t ask our sitters to wash sheets and towels, Lorna is just a conscientious person, neat and clean. And, when we got home our cat did not come to the door, I called out but no kitty, I looked in Lorna’s room and there he was sitting on the bed looking out the door obviously waiting for Lorna! We highly recommend Lorna to anyone, anywhere. Lorna has lived in the USA and is a very organized traveler. She is highly responsible, kind, sweet, we felt very good about having Lorna in our home taking care of our fur baby.
