Friendly family looking for sitter opportunities in Scandinavia April - July 2025

About this sitter

We are a family of four, myself, my husband Will and our two daughters (2 and 3 yrs). We are looking to spend 3 months in Scandinavia next year between April and August 2025 and would like to do a couple of house sits as part of our adventure. We are looking for sitter opportunities of at least 3 weeks to allow us time to really experience and explore an area.

Why they want to house sit

We will be leaving our two beloved dogs in the care of a house sitter whilst we travel and we would very much like to reciprocate. We see a house sit as a way to better experience 'living like a local' and to feel the community spirit. It also provides the stability that my husband would need to work (online) whilst we travel.

Their experience

I have been caring for pets locally since completing a PhD 10 years ago. To date we have had dogs come to stay with us, or looked after cats, poultry and bees in their own homes. We are in the middle of a house sit for 2 dogs in the south of France and loving every moment.

What can they bring to the assignment

We are a trustworthy family with experience in care for dogs, cats, poultry and beekeeping. We have spent the past 6 years renovating a property and so have gained many DIY skills. We keep an allotment and polytunnel for vegetables and so consider ourselves green fingered!
