About this sitter
Hello, my name is Maggie. I'm a documentarian who is currently working on a book after spending the past 15 years embarking on solo expeditions to some of the most remote regions of the world. Having recently returned to Europe, I am seeking a space where I can be of help while given the opportunity to ponder life’s experiences. I don’t need much other than warmth, some quiet time perhaps, and the joy I am sure to experience while caring for your beloved animal(s) and home (if you so chose). Why they want to house sit
I would like to house sit because it is a beautiful concept…a mutually beneficial exchange among good people where wonderful experiences are surely had by all. As someone who adores animals and nature, and derives so much joy and inspiration from my surroundings and the regions I visit, I cannot think of a more perfect setting/opportunity as I continue to work on my book. Although I am new to MindMyHouse, it is truly wonderful to see! Having spent most of my life, and career, traveling - homeowners can rest assured that I am seeking a moment of reflection and pause as I happily care for your loved one(s) and home.

I am mature and very well-traveled, and although not through a formal website such as this I have cared for many homes, animals and plants over the years.
What can they bring to the assignment
I am kind, tidy, highly trustworthy and respectful towards people, their spaces and all living creatures. I am also a woman who can manage very well on my own. To answer the above question of what I would “bring to this assignment” - it is the utmost degree of respect, honesty, responsibility, warmth and care that I hope is expected of any great house sitter.

Pick Maggie - An Outstanding House-Sitter
For six weeks, over a very cold snowy winter, Maggie took care of our house and dozens of house plants including 12 orchids. We left very detailed instructions on watering the plants and maintaining the house. When we returned, the house was very clean, the plants looked healthier than when we left, a the orchids were in bloom. While we were away, Maggie kept in contact regularly and was very responsive to my queries. She loved being here and just hunkered down and worked on her projects. This served to assure us that everything was running smoothly. The best part of this experience for me was getting to know Maggie. She is such a caring, warm, conscientious, responsible individual. I'd have her back in a heartbeat.
