Traveling herbalist and family

About this sitter

We are a family of 4. My husband is now retired and fixes everything in sight. My daughter (19) teaches English online and my son (16) is homeschooled. I am a clinical herbalist/phytotherapist with an online practice. House sitting is an opportunity for us to travel more and feel comfortable/more at home and perhaps even live like locals! Our needs are simple, a good kitchen or area to cook, beds for each of us. One bathroom is fine. A house that is not cluttered and clean is important. We also have to leave our home and our pets in the care of others and would treat our sits the way we want ours to be treated. We are big animal lovers and usually have 4-8 dogs including rescues at home. We have a good rating and recommendations on Airbnb for keeping places clean and respecting rules.

Why they want to house sit

Both economic and life experience reasons. It’s gotten significantly more expensive to travel as a family of four adults (children have grown and we want to be together). Airbnbs can be hit or miss for long stays, especially as a family that cooks. We tend to need more space because of online work/school. We are accustomed to a life with animals. We’d love to take care of pets so they are safe and happy while their owners are away. We regularly video call and check in with ours and want to know they are treated well and happy.

What can they bring to the assignment

Peaceful, quiet and respectful family. Honest. Competent to see about the maintenance issues of a house. Clean. Experienced with animals.
