American girl in the UK looking to see more of the world by house sitting for Christmas break

About this sitter

I'm an American girl from Texas and currently living in the U.K. on a volunteer visa. I'm looking to house sit for someone with between one to four pets, who may have some small chores that need to be done like gardening or watering the plants.

Why they want to house sit

I have a couple of weeks on break and would love to spend that time getting to see new places, but I enjoy working and want to productively make the most of my time. I'm hoping that my free time can help someone else by freeing up their own time so that they can have a wonderful vacation and a chance to take a break from the rush of life and responsibilities.

Their experience

I have been doing house sitting assignments off and on for five years. I have done both overnight and two-week-long pet sitting arrangements, and have been invited back on six different occasions by one person to watch their pets. I have experience with dogs, cats, small birds, fish, horses, and chickens. I also have done cleaning, gardening, and yardwork during my stays. Outside of house sitting, I also have experience with cows and rabbits.

What can they bring to the assignment

The people I house sit for have always told me that I am hardworking, reliable, and caring. I always want to do a job well, and so I make sure that all pets are happy and well-cared for, and I always strive to leave the house or yard in a better condition than I found it. I also provide regular photo and text updates on the status of the house and pets, and make sure that I am always able to be contacted by the owners.
