About this sitter

I'm a retired BBC journalist in my fifties. I love animals. I love travelling. And I have lots of experience at both. I would be happier in a rural environment than a big city. Otherwise I am flexible. And I'm always up for a new adventure.

Why they want to house sit

I'm an unconventional traveller. I like to find somewhere I like and then stay for a while. At least for a week or two. And did I mention I adore animals?

Their experience

I'm new to Mindmyhouse but I've been looking after pets and houses for a few years. Any pets considered. But I don't have livestock or horse experience. I am very experienced with dogs, including those with special requirements.

What can they bring to the assignment

I'm neat and tidy. Honest and reliable. I don't smoke. I have my own car (in the UK and EU anyway). And I'm practical. I have lived in Spain for most of the last nine years and I speak Spanish, though not as fluently as I would like.
