About this sitter
I'm an avid gardener and former WWOOFer; a pet caretaker who loves animals; and a former property owner who respects the property of others. Now that I'm retired I welcome the chance to explore new areas while helping others.
Why they want to house sit
I love the idea of visiting new places by becoming immersed in them rather than seeing them as a tourist. Taking care of the property, plants and animals of other people is a great way to see the world.
Their experience
I've taken care of the dogs and cats of multiple friends for a weekend or so at a time, but also had several longterm housesitting/petsitting experiences. Two letters of reference will be attached.
What can they bring to the assignment
I have a strong sense of responsibility, and am conscientious about caring for the homes of others. In addition, I enjoy gardening and being in the company of pets.

Great person and trustworthy pet sitter
I can't say enough great things about Denise! She took care of our small dog for six days, and I could tell she was in the best hands. Lizzie in Lechlade on Thames
Denise was a great housesitter and bonded with Lizzie almost as soon as she arrived. Lizzie was very well cared for during our absence and the house was also very well presented on our return. In fact, it was hard to tell that anyone had been using the house since we left. Denise is a tidy and quiet lady but we had some lovely chats about her home State during our time together. We would welcome her return to housesit for us again in the future and wish her well in her onward travels and future housesits.

So wonderfully caring and reliable
Denise is just a lovely person who instantly made us feel at ease. Our shy dog Lexi instantly warmed to her (she senses good vibes) and upon our return we could see she had been very well cared for. We got back to find the house in perfect order too. Since she was travelling to us from overseas she was very communicative in her itinerary to get to us in time for our holiday. We're very grateful to have found Denise and we whole-heartedly recommend her for your house sit!
