Hello! I look forward to sitting for you!

I work in early childhood mental health — work that’s all about empathy, reliability, and strong communication — and I bring those same qualities to the homes and animals I care for.

I live in Pennsylvania with my partner, Ryan, and our wiggly dog, Ramona. I love the outdoors and hiking, gardening, exploring in all weather. My hobbies are always evolving and include things like sewing, quilting, and rollerskating. I’m looking for house sitting opportunities in Western Pennsylvania and also adventures across the U.S. and beyond throughout the summer.

I know from my own experience how important it is to feel confident and at peace while you're away! I take seriously the responsibility of keeping your home running smoothly and your pets happy, exactly as I would want for myself.

Why they want to house sit

I look at house sitting as a way to experience my own area from new vantage points, and as an opportunity to explore entirely new places while still having the comfort of a "home base". As a school-based mental health consultant, my summers are flexible and afford me the opportunity to travel. I love caring for dogs and discovering new walking or hiking spots to explore together. I enjoy getting to know animals of all kinds. I am both a city lover and a lover of rural places and can find enjoyment most anywhere.

Their experience

I have experience house and animal sitting for others and am a home owner myself, accustomed to the day-to-day tasks of successfully running a household as well as the inevitable home maintenance (expected and unexpected) that comes with home ownership! I am a dog owner as well and love to take my dog for long woods walks and have playful interactions :). I have cared for dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, and more.

I have extensive experience with meaningful travel and international work, particularly throughout Central and South America, as well as visits to countries like China, Thailand, Laos, and Sweden. I’m adaptable to different cultural expectations and place an emphasis on learning about the people and places I visit through research, language learning, and genuine connection.

What can they bring to the assignment

I am a 'details' person and can juggle a myriad of tasks. I'm accustomed to taking care of logistics and have been responsible for the wellbeing and safety of many young children throughout the years in my work! A great day for me means a balance of getting moving (walks, hikes, sightseeing, chores, work) with a good dose of cozying up at home and being still.
