7 cats + 3 Street cats we feed
We have 7 rescue cats - and 3 Street cats that we feed at the gate - they live inside but they go out. They are fed inside twice a day . The cats all get on most of the time. They take a day or two to get to know you.
Cats fed twice a day and enjoy cuddles. They are very easy to look after and gather at meal times. They are rescue cats so we have been gentling them and most of them are quite tame y good natured. Love attention.
We don't live at the finca now. We moved 2 years ago. We now live near the coast.
Our present home is very welcoming and being on the frontline to the beach it has wonderful views and sun most of the day and nice walks or cycle rides. We have heating for the winter months its cosy and warm in the winter months. Because the weather is very pleasant and sunny most days in the winter (15/20 degree's) but at night it can be cool but we have an electric blanket for your comfort. The summer months of July and August can be very hot reaching 35/40 degree's but we have ceiling fans and air conditioning in the lounge. There are restaurants and bars only a few minutes drive away with special 4 course lunch from as little as 10 euros and very enjoyable. There are bars and restaurants in walking distance.
The historic city of Cartagena is only a 20 mins drive away with different interesting museums - beautiful churches - a beautiful port where many cruise ships visit and all the big name shops on Calle Major. We would recommend you need a car to take advantage of this lovely area. And also if the need arises to take any of the cats to the vets.
The sitters need to be honest and reliable and love all animals. Our cats are friendly and easy going and easy to look after.
We would appreciate updates to see how the cats are doing.
No, sorry.

7 adorable rescue cats
We had the pleasure of housesitting for Ann and Trev in May and spending time with their fantastic cats. We had wondered if we’d get to know them all in the relatively short period we were staying but within a couple of days, with the helpful notes Ann had written we knew them all and much of their individual characters. They were super easy to look after and lots of fun. Ann and Trevor were lovely and so easy, welcoming us to their home on the sea front. They are real animal lovers and this shines through. There are many thoughtful places for the cats to sleep and sit in the house and around the terrace and while we were there all the cats got on really well, some of them you didn’t see much apart from meal times, others loved cuddles and more attention. The house was super clean and tidy and very easy to look after, all on one level and surrounded on 3 sides by a huge terrace area with many beautiful potted plants The care of these was very straight forward too. There are endless seating and relaxing options to enjoy these and the view. Situated on the Mar Menor, a lagoon which is lovely for swimming, just out the front door and you can access the water most easily from the steps at the end of the jetty. We drove here and found it useful to have a car to visit some of the surrounding area and also for groceries however there are one or 2 minimarts within walking distance. We hope to return again in the near future, we enjoyed our stay and miss the cats!, thank you both

Peacocks and cats
We had a wonderful time staying at Ann and Trevor's. Ann was organised and gave clear instructions on feeding and looking after their cats and peacocks. However the cats sometimes disagreed with Ann's ideas, and thought they could get away with everything whilst mum and dad were on holiday. Ann was reachable and kept in contact throughout our stay. We had a great time exploring the area, Ann and Trevor live in a beautiful part of Spain. Ann and Trevor's home and gardens are beautiful and we enjoyed spending time there, especially in the pool with the camel. We would recommend this house sit and would happily stay there again if asked.

Lovely home and animals, great location
Trevor and Ann welcomed us to their home set on a fully fenced acre in a part of Spain which tends to be overlooked or by-passed by the vast majority of international tourists. The lovely home, largely built/converted by Trevor (ex builder) and Ann has the advantage of being set right in the midst of agricultural land yet is a very short drive to some wonderful towns and must-see’s including Cartagena, Murcia, the Mar Menor, La Manga, La Alzohia and Mazarron via The Fort in Cabo TInoso. There are historical sites ranging from Roman to 20th century fortifications and so much more to see and do within a very short drive. Every facility is close to hand On day one, Trevor and Ann welcomed us with a tour of the local area including Cartagena, this gave us our bearings and a range of ‘must see’ to do. Local shops and markets were enhanced by friendly café’s serving coffee’s and tostadas and menu del dia at local rates. If you are looking for hearty several course meals with a carafe of wine for 9 euros this is where to find a range of very filling options. Trevor and Ann’s home is very comfortable and whilst we stayed (5 weeks) temps reached over 40 deg C but air conditioning, ceiling fans and a fantastic swimming pool ensured we were cool at all times. The animals were great to be with, 14 cats, 2 peacocks and Lion the biggest ever Alsatian. At times it was like feeding time at the zoo. As the majority were rescue cats, Trevor and Ann’s aim was for them to be used to handling prior to being re-homed in Germany. At feed time Ruth would count the cats and on several occasions the 14 had increased to 16….. word had gone out on the cat-network of where to go for a feed. Mr P & Mr B the big show-off peacocks were wary but always available at feed time twice per day. Both boys moulted their feathers during our stay and we collected what appeared to be bundles of tail feathers ready for Ann’s return. Lion, the beautiful gentle Alsatian was showing signs of age and really just wanted company and like all dogs and a lot of fuss. In 5 weeks I don’t think we heard him bark once. We wish Trevor and Ann every success with their future plans, they were wonderful hosts who we would not fail to recommend to other pet and home sitters.
