About this assignment
Someone who is good with cats, clean and responsible/reliable. I'd really like to have trust and peace of mind while we are away. We have one older cat (Max) and two younger ones (Xander and Willow). They are very well behaved, and pretty low key.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
I'd like the person to feed and provide water to our 3 cats daily, as well as scoop our litter box every few days. We'd also like this person to bring in our mail and any packages we receive while we're gone.
What are the good features of the property and location
We live in the SF Bay Area, in Oakland, which is an exciting place to visit and sight-see. At the same time, our home and neighborhood feel like a retreat, since we are not in the hub-bub.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
For the most part our cats are good, but they can be attention-seeking. All of our cats stay indoors. Also, while our home is not very remote, it is a bit of a hop to get to BART. (We do have a bus line nearby which goes to a BART station, or it's a short drive (10 min).)

The Best of Oakland
David and Margo’s well appointed charming home is superbly situated atop a hill, just a short walk to the most spectacular views overlooking San Francisco and the Bay Area, which is where my husband and I enjoyed, not only romantic evening strolls, but a world class Fourth of July fireworks display! Their gorgeous and well behaved kitties, Max and Kat, loved being petted and brushed, or simply cozying up on the sofa with us. Even though we were supplied with detailed instructions, it was such a lovely and easy home sit, really! We would definitely recommend a stay here and would be happy to return when in the area again. Lovely house, great location, Gorgeous cats!
A lovely vacation spent with two beautiful cats - quiet, cosy and extremely comfortable. The house is in a pretty little neighbourhood with easy access off the interstate. Super cosy inside with a lovely deck out back for sunning cats and people. We loved the park at the end of the street for walking and jogging and for the breathtaking views over the Bay and towards San Francisco. There are so many things to do nearby - beautiful hills and forests, city visits, museums, lakes and local cafes - and it was a treat to come back to cuddle up with the cats. The home owners left everything we needed for looking after the cats (even some tasty food in the refrigerator for us!) and we couldn't have felt more welcome. It was truly a joy to stay and play with Katerina and Max!
