There are no pets to look after
We are looking for very responsible house sitters who can look after a large house with many plants that need watering and caring for daily in the warmer months. It is a non smoking house. A knowledge of Spanish is very useful in Tarifa.
Keeping the house interior and exterior clean and ventilated and watering and weeding the container plants daily on the roof garden and throughout the house.
Our house is an historic home of 300 square meters (3200 square feet) located in the beautiful moorish walled old town of Tarifa in the province of Cadiz in southern Spain. Tarifa is a well known centre for windsurfing, kitesurfing, hiking, birdwatching and many other outdoor pursuits. We are a 5 minute walk from the junction of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean and the 7 km long Los Lances beach. Tarifa has many high quality bars and restaurants and a busy cultural life and is in an ideal spot for visiting southern Andalucia.
It is essential that the house sitters have experience with the care of plants and the physical strength to keep a large house clean and tidy. They must also have a valid International or European full (Manual) drivers licence in case our car needs to be looked after. The weather in the April to June period has highs in the low to mid 20s Celsius and lows averaging about 15C.Tarifa is quite windy so hence its' popularity for wind and kite surfing.
The house has fibre Wifi service. We have Vodaphone television with many channels available.
No, sorry.
Testimonials
Tarifa, Spain
I have just completed a wonderful house sit of nearly 3 months in Tarifa. The house was really nice & interesting, being probably over 300 years old and situated in the “Old Town” with its many bars and restaurants. I spent a nice couple of days with John & Christine before they left for their Christmas holiday abroad. This gave me the opportunity to get to know them a little bit and to be fully briefed on everything I needed to know about their house. Tarifa is a great base to use to see various other parts of Andalusia, like Cadiz, Ronda & Seville, and for surfers (especially kite surfers) it’s a very popular location. Morocco is only an hour away on the ferry making it easy to do a day trip to visit places like Tangier & Chefchaouen.
