About this assignment

To take care of the house inside only and keep home clean. Take care of our 18 year old cat. She is pretty much an indoor cat and still spunky. She does not require much attention but wants to be around you. Feel free to leave for up to 2-3 days if needed or take a vacation with prior notice to owner so back up care can be arranged. Family and friends live in the area if support is needed.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed the cat wet cat for twice a day and clean the cat box, water plants, put out garbage and recycle weekly/biweekly. Notify owner of any concerns or maintenance issues should it be necessary.

What are the good features of the property and location

Suburban home with 3,400 sq. ft. on 1/3 acre in quiet neighborhood for your enjoyment with large deck and landscaped yard. Views of the mountains. We belong to a private small lake walkable from the house that makes for a nice outing. Nearby fitness center, shopping and restaurants. A short commute to the city of Denver for enjoying entertainment, the arts, cultural attractions, museums, and fine dining. The house is near the foothills with lots of bicycle and hiking close by. Just a short drive to Golden, Colorado, a historical mining town in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, offering the Clear Creek Trail running along a waterway and Coors Brewery, the largest single site brewery in the world, with free tours daily. The Colorado School of Mines resides in Golden with many exhibits on earth and science and mining history. Red Rocks is a 20 minute drive containing abundant hiking trails, beautiful rock formations, and concerts in its one of a kind outdoor amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. Boulder is a 25 minute drive, home of the University of Colorado. Just a little over an hour drive to major ski resorts such as Loveland, Keystone, Breckenridge, and Winter Park.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

No smoking, care of a cat and keeping house clean. Require previous references or testimony and a Signed Written Agreement between parties. The housesitting time period is between January 1, 2025 and April 30, 2025. The length of stay can be for the duration or shortened to weekly or monthly increments if needed during the time period specified.
