One small female dog - spayed
We are looking for someone (or a couple) who would love to look after our house and walk our small dog and give her attention while we take a break.
Tomya only requires a 30-40 min walk a day, some play time, fresh water, her breakfast and her dinner. You would be able to go out during the day.
Our house is in Haddenham, a good location to visit Ely, Cambridge and London. We have a two bedroom cottage with a nice kitchen, garden and fireplace. In our village, you will find a grocery shop, a good pub, a craft centre and good fields for walks.
The house is 5 miles from Ely, which has an amazing Cathedral and tourist potential such as walks by the canal. From Ely you can get the train to Cambridge (15 min journey) and London (1h20min journey) or many other places in the UK.
We offer free wifi and tv. There are two desks if you need to do remote work.
No, sorry.

Tomya in Haddenham
On my first night Vivian and Matt picked me up from the train station and got me oriented to the local area. In addition to the usual welcome guide, Vivian had prepared an entire notebook of useful information for visitors to the area. Haddenham is a pleasant village with a thriving arts centre, complete with lovely cafe where you can chat with the locals. Ely, with its amazing cathedral and abundance of eateries, is just a £2 bus ride away. The house is clean and tidy and the garden is lovely. Tomya loved her walks, and with her I explored much of the village. She gets excited when she sees other dogs, but responds well when told to sit and given a reward for doing so. Recommended!

Best time with Tomya in Cambridgeshire 2023
We had a great time looking after the little pooch Tomya for 3 weeks in Haddenham. We bonded very easily with Tomya, she is a very lovely and fun dog, we took her for long walks in the surrounding countryside and to the near Thetford forest. She also liked to play with her toys and made us laugh a lot. The house is very cosy and spacious with a lovely garden and we instantly felt very much at home there. Vivian and Matt were very helpful and generous hosts. Communication with them was very good, they quickly responded to all our questions. The village offers lovely short and longer walks to meadows and public orchards where we could pick some apples. We also visited Cambridge, which is only a short train ride away and the near town Ely, with its lovely cathedral and walks near the river Cam. We definitely would recommend this pet sit and hope to come back and see Tomya again! Many thanks to Vivian and Matt for welcoming us to your house, it was a real pleasure :)

Blissful Haddenham with Gorgeous Tomya
I enjoyed such a blissful time looking after the cutest sweetest Tomya. Not only was Vivian and Matt’s cottage and garden gorgeous and cosy but the village and meadows in Haddenham were lovely to take Tomya for long walks. The villagers made me very welcome at their Jubilee celebrations of afternoon teas and street parties and I will always cherish my time here. I particularly loved the Haddenham art centre and the community garden and it was a short bus journey to Ely and Cambridge. Matt and Vivian are such a lovely couple and it was an absolute pleasure meeting them and hopefully we will keep in contact.

Housesit in a cosy cottage with a cute little dog
I had a great housesit at Vivian and Matt's cosy home at Haddenham from 18./3. - 23./3. 2022 I felt very much at ease in their little cottage where I had my tea - time usually in the garden, as the weather was nice and warm. Tomya is a friendly, joyful, little dog. We went on walks through the village or in the fields around. She can stay several hours on her own in the house, so I was able to go an excursions by bike or by bus and train. Vivian borrowed me her bike, which was supercool for me! In the village one can find everything necessary like supermarket, pharmacy, pub, chinese takeaway and busstop to Ely. Ely is a little, nice, old town with an amazing cathedral, situated at the river Cam. From Ely it is a 15 minutes train - ride to Cambridge, which is absolutely worth being visited. Before my sit I had a videocall with Vivian and Matt to get a first impression and during my time there, I could always reach Vivian to exchange informations. I reccommand this housesit for a couple or a single person with or without car. The duty is small - the pleasure is big! Dear Vivian and Matt, many thanks for trusting me to look after Tomya and your cottage. Maybe see you another time again. Barbara from Switzerland

Testimonial for Sitting at Haddenham, in Cambridgeshire
I had the pleasure of housesitting for Vivian, in their lovely home in East Haddenham, Cambridgeshire, for five days and look after their beautiful little girl Tomya, a four year old Pomeranian. Who is a treat to look after, and very very friendly it was like me and my shadow, she was great company for me during my stay. The home is very nice and extremely comfortable. I can throughly recommend this sit, and hope to get the chance to re visit again. Many thanks Guys for allowing me to sit for you and your hospitality. All the very best Bob.

Pleasant house/pet sit.
We enjoyed a pleasant two weeks in Matt and Vivian’s little Cambridgeshire cottage. Tomya, their dog was a loveable furry companion. The cottage is nicely situated for visits to Ely Cathedral and Cambridge University. Vivian left us comprehensive guides and we has a trouble free stay.

Tomya's home
Anyone interested in taking on a future opportunity to care for Vivian and Matt's home and pooch will find they are considerate and welcoming. Before I arrived in England, Vivian was an excellent communicator both via Skype, email and texts. She provided lots of local information on transportation options and things to do. They picked me up from and returned me to the nearby train station. Upon arrival, Matt prepared a delicious meal. During my month-long stay Viv was excellent in answering quickly any questions or concerns I had. Pooch Tomya is young, energetic, playful and intelligent. She loves long walks, off-leash romps in the field nearby, responds well to food and treats (like cheese, bananas and carrots) and makes herself at home in your lap ready for cuddles. The village has a lovely pub, butcher shop, pharmacy, library and an especially nice Craft Center with a few artist studios, a gallery filled with tempting local artist-made gifts to look at or buy and a colorful café with a small selection of great food and baked goods. The cathedral town of Ely is accessible by a local bus service and reached within a 25-minute ride that winds through several nearby villages. If you like nature, want to experience a village environment in Cambridgeshire, England and be surrounded by fields and fens as well as enjoy quality time with a playful pooch consider Viv and Matt's place. It's ideal for one person or a couple.

Great experience!
We had a lovely time at Vivian and Matthew's house in Cambridgshire! They gave good instructions and were always helpful with any questions and even showed us around Cambridgeshire a little. Tomya is a wonderful and playful young dog and we had a great time playing with her and taking her for walks in the surrounding fields. The village is quiet and peaceful but the essentials are close at hand e.g. a supermarket and a Pub with excellent food and you can go to the nearby towns by bus or bike. All in all a great housesitt, we would be happy to see them again!
