Wine Country Sit for 4 pets in Santa Rosa, CA

About this assignment

We have a charming 1946 house, peaceful garden, an elderly dog and 3 cats (one young, two older). We are looking for a non-smoking, responsible sitter who is good with older animals, can pill a cat (he’s easy - just drop it in) and has some experience with a shy and sensitive dog.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The dog needs medication 3x/day (around 7am, 2pm, and 10pm). In addition, there is breakfast for all around 7am and dinner for all around 7pm daily. The elder cat, Tucker, needs medication around 7am and 7pm. Molly (the elderly dog - a corgi/chihuahua mix) likes a cookie around 10 am - she will remind you :-) We've done our best to simplify the medication schedule for our sake and yours! For longer sits, there may be the need to water indoor plants. The yard is on irrigation and most plants outside are fine, but in hot weather supplemental watering may be needed.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are located in the junior college neighborhood of Santa Rosa. This is a friendly, smaller home street that is close to grocery stores, shops and restaurants. We have great neighbors and are located in the middle of superb wine country - there are so many great wineries and activities to enjoy! 10 minutes in any direction and you'll be in a vineyard.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You need to be able to pill a cat (he is very easy) and ensure you are able to be home around the medication times. Maximum time away would be less than 6 hrs. We have very helpful neighbors that can assist, if needed.
