About this assignment
I am looking for a reliable, empathetic, trustworthy person or couple to look after three very special kitties while I am back in the US. Ruby, Mei, and Lucy, the Assassins, are three shy cats from America who love to hunt in thé field behind the house. All three are very loving once they trust you. Until then, they are a bit shy.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Feeding and care for the cats. Watering and tending a few plants. Checking the water and keeping the spa clean and balanced(if active).
What are the good features of the property and location
I live in a 3 BR house in Charente, minutes from Angoulême. LOTS to do and see. Walking/biking trails are extensive. Day trips to the Dordogne and the coast are quite easy. Fully equipped kitchen, solid wifi, and all mod-cons. Large spa.
Car or bike necessary.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Must love cats and be patient. They were shipped over from the states in November, 2020 and have lived at this house since the end of April 2022. They are very loving once they know you, but are still a bit on
the wild side. Stairs from the laundry and garage. You will need a car(there is a possibility of using mine (manual transmission), but you would need to to be here a few days early to go to Villebois-Lavelette and have you registered with the
leasing company).
Can I bring my own pets?

Easy going home owner, nice yet shy cats, lovely house
I've spent nearly 3 weeks at Stacy's house in a lovely location in Charente, not far from Angouleme. We were in touch for most of the time before coming and then during her absence as well. She is an easy-going person that loves animals and tries to help them. Also a previous housesitter, so she knows what's important. She came back quite a few days earlier then scheduled but there was no problem for me staying in. The house is in a wonderful, quiet location (there are some buses to the nearby village, but you need some kind of transport - I had a bicycle). It's well equipped. There's a good grocery 1 km away and bakery 2,5 km, supermarkets 6 km away. There is so much to see in the area if you like. There were 3 female cats when I was there, 2 of them were much more shy and keeping away from stranger like me but at the end of my stay all of them became friendly. Alos there was on kitten from the shelter and he was very sweet yet very lively too.. Overall very recommended, hope to get back!
