About this assignment
Seeking a responsible house sitter who can watch our 2 cats. These brothers are quite shy but love people and we need someone who can show them some love while we are away! They have no medical/temperament issues.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
-Feeding the cats (leaving out dry food and giving wet food 2x a day)
-Changing the litter box once
-Ensuring the safety of the house/cats by not leaving potentially dangerous/breakable items out and making sure the home is locked up when leaving
-Cleaning up after yourself, including dishes/garbage
-Bringing in the mail
-Watering a few small plants (seasonal)
What are the good features of the property and location
This two-story 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house is located just 10 minutes outside of Charlotte in an up-and-coming very trendy area near the new Camp North End. Other nearby attractions include optimist hall, NODA, and we are minutes away from a park/splash pad and nature preserve.
The house itself has a full kitchen, half bath, and living room downstairs, and three bedrooms and two bathrooms with laundry upstairs. You would be staying in our guest room which has a queen bed.
There is a beautiful deck out back with patio furniture and huge trees in front and behind of the house, giving it a really quiet and serene feeling.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Last minute change in plans, such as leaving early, will not work as we won't have anyone else to watch the cats. However, we are fine for some flexibility in arrival/departures since the cats are ok by themselves for a short time.
We would like to chat with you ahead of time to make sure the fit is right!
Can I bring my own pets?
Yes
Restrictions: Our cats will be fine but shy around other pets, so closed doors would be best!

We had a great time in Charlotte with Chandler and Joey! They were exactly as Kim said- Chandler was friendly and outgoing after he got to know us and Joey was very shy but curious. New house and quiet, sweet kitties!
I had a great time sitting for Kim and Yuvi in their brand new house in Charlotte! Even though Kim’s a new mom and they had just recently moved in, she had the entire house clean, tidy and well-organized for my stay. It was amazing! The guest bedroom (with an unbelievably comfortable bed) and bathroom were pristine and welcoming. Kim provided detailed written instructions, and was easy to contact and quickly responsive to the few questions that came up. The beautiful orange marmalade “kitty-boys,” Joey and Chandler, were sweet and extremely easy to care for. Joey is a bit more adventurous than his bro, and Chandler is a bit friendlier (and a treat hog—ha ha!). It took them awhile to get used to me, but eventually they did some regular “visiting” and we developed a rapport. I had fun exploring the sunny Southern city of Charlotte, had some excellent dining experiences, and visited historic sites I had wanted to see. The house’s fairly central location made it a breeze to get around the city and home again. All in all, an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend this couple and their pets for anyone wanting to explore Charlotte.

Great petsit with cool cats & pet owners!
It was a pleasure to take care of Joey and Chandler for Kim and Yuvi! Of the two cute ginger brothers, Chandler is the more outgoing one who enjoyed play-time and hanging out. Joey was still adjusting to their new-ish home, so we just made sure he was well, gradually encouraged him to stop hiding in the closet, and respected his personal space :-) Kim and Yuvi's vacation happened just as travel restrictions due to Covid-19 rolled out more widely, and we couldn't have asked for a better partner to navigate through unraveling of well-made travel plans. Kim and Yuvi were communicative, flexible, and generous as both sides scrambled to adjust our plans. Due to the unexpected travel changes, we enjoyed a little more time and a meal with this friendly and fun couple. They left us good instructions for pet and home care. We really enjoyed this petsit and the Katong neighborhood, with the convenience of great eateries of all kinds and price points, supermarkets, and a nice cultural/historical flavor. We highly recommend petsitting for Kim and Yuvi and wouldn't hesitate to do it again!

Wonderful House Sit
We had a wonderful time in Singapore. We really enjoyed taking care of the adorable kittens Joey and Chandler. The apartment was close to public transportation which made it easy to get around. The apartment had everything you could need as well as a pool literally steps from the door. Kim was great to deal with and we highly recommend this sit.

2 Shy cats
We really enjoyed our time at Kim's apartment. The cats were easy to care for but they never did let us smother them with hugs. The apartment is near the metro which makes it easy to get around.

Lovely cats!
I loved housesitting at Kim's place, her two cats were very easy to pet and cuddle! The apartment was small and neat in a very good location for the MRT with an excellent swimming pool. Kim's a very nice lady and made it all very easy for me. Totally recommended!
