Country house in Southern Sweden

About this assignment

We are looking for a responsible person(s) who would enjoy staying in the country-side to take care of our house, dog and chickens February 16-21, 2025.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We would like to ask you to feed and look after our chickens and dog and generally keep an eye on things while we are away, while hopefully enjoying your stay at our place.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home is situated in a small rural community on a peninsula in a lake in Southern Sweden. The house is about 50 m from the lake shore and by a forest. The university town of Lund is about 30 min and Copenhagen is about 1 hour 10 min away. Our home is rather old but was recently refurbished. There are several fireplaces to make life in the house cozy and warm.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

A stay here can provide solitude and peace - but city life is not far away if it gets too quiet! Public transport is available during restricted hours: a train service to the nearest town runs all days until rather late at night but the connecting bus to our stop only runs until 6 pm. If you are an experienced driver we can arrange to borrow a car during the housesit. We try to leave the house tidy, clean and welcoming and are happy to come home to it looking the same way!
