About this assignment
Someone who will look after my house who enjoys a calm riverside setting in a quiet village. There is a lovely restaurant just 50 meters from my house.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Check my mail, open it and make sure that the are no urgent matters that need attention. Check the pool, skim it daily and add chlorine when needed. I have two long term rentals associated with my house and if any issues arise with them make arrangements for any repairs needed. Repairmen telephone numbers will be provided. Keep the stairwell clean.
What are the good features of the property and location
My house is full of antiques and collectibles located on the banks of the Dordogne river in a small village. There are plenty of activities in the area to enjoy.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
They will need a car. I could make mine available. The house is full of antiques and artwork that makes for a very pleasant setting but it means that you need to take care not to break things

Our stay at Lindas house was very pleasant. She welcomed us in and took us to the local pub for an English quiz. We went kayaking and visited the chocolate factory and caves while she was away. My host Linda was extremely welcoming. Her home is in a lovely setting with the pool and garden facing the Dordogne. The house is comfortable, tranquil, and has all of the amenities needed to feel at ease. It was easy to keep in contact with her and I enjoyed her home and beautiful garde. I look forward to sitting for Linda in the future.

It was a pleasure staying at Linda and Dick’s 250 year old home on the banks of La Dordogne. Linda was in frequent communication prior to our stay, and left us with clear instructions. She also made sure we could contact local people who were familiar with the house, and could answer any of our questions. Linda and Dick are a very kind and interesting couple, and it was a delight to meet them. The house has loads of character, and is full of antiques and brocante. It's lovely to walk along the banks of the river and to explore the beautiful surroundings. This ‘sit’ was a pleasure because of Linda and Dick’s support and company, the charming house and the delightful location.
