A person (not a couple) who is very attentive towards house pets, who has very good sense of cleaning, hygiene and keeps the house and inhabitants safe all the time.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
The major responsibilities are of course cleaning of the house or the areas you are using, feeding the cat and keeping his litter box clean and good looking.
All required tools and equipment are in the house.
What are the good features of the property and location
My property is 5 min walk from the beautiful historical center of Brussels (no car is needed). It is also very close to supermarkets and cute restaurants. There is very stable and fast Internet connection, TV, HiFi and all hyper-equipped kitchen.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
In the house there is a wonderful British short hair of 4 years. His name is Alfred and, as any other cat in the world, he is the king of the house.
Can I bring my own pets?

Pleasant stay in Brussels in october 2024
I stayed at Francesco's house for 5 days. Thanks to its location, I could fully enjoy the vibrant and beautiful Brussels. In the apartment it was wonderful to relax in the company of Alfred, a beautiful, well-groomed British Shorthair. The cat Alfred is clear in what he wants and yet an easy-going and affectionate cat. Francesco communicates clearly and very friendly. I can definitely recommend this place for house sitting. I would like to do it again myself because in 5 days I mainly discovered what I still want to see in Brussels.

Great cat-sit in Brussels
It was a pleasure to cat-sit Alfred for Francesco. Francesco lives in a large and comfortable apartment right near the main center of Brussels - around 600 meters from the central station. The house is surrounded by many restaurants and several bars. There's also a supermarket nearby. So staying there is really being right in the middle of everything. Alfred is an adorable cat. Though really big physically, he is also a gentle soul, not intruding (on the contrary: I wished he would come to snuggle a bit, but he did that only once, on the very day I left), quiet, not getting in your way and not causing any problems. He lets you pet and play with him at least a bit and you never have to fear him biting or scratching. So you can say Alfred is low maintenance cat, and the same goes for taking care of him (just give him food a couple of times a day, clean his litter box, and sometimes open the apartment's door for him, so he can do a quick round in the hall). Communication with Francesco was very good. He was prompt to reply to queries, and he was very nice and friendly. So I can definitely say that this is the dream cat-sit for whoever fancys a few days in Brussels.

Staying with Alfred in Brussels
I was fortunate to be asked by Francesco to house sit in Brussels with Alfred, his wonderful cat. Francesco is very organised and an excellent communicator so arranging the house sit was completely straightforward. We had a videocall in advance and then met on the morning of his departure. After thorough explanations about Alfred’s care and the features of the apartment we had a fascinating conversation that I would have been happy to continue. It was a pleasure to meet him and he did everything possible to make my stay pleasant. Francesco has created a unique home in an ideal location in the centre of Brussels. In a safe street of restaurants and individual shops, it is remarkably light and peaceful inside. A short walk away are parks, museums and Brussels Central Station. Francesco also lent me his bike which added to my experience of the city. Alfred is a beautiful cat with a great character. Reserved at first, he will take his time to get to know you, becoming increasingly friendly and talkative. He has a playful side and also loves being brushed. He appreciates human company but won’t jump on you, preferring to sit nearby quietly observing. Thank you Francesco and Alfred for my enjoyable stay in Brussels.
