About this assignment

We’re looking for a responsible and caring house/pet sitter for our two pups. One older Golden Retriever and one smaller, sassy version. Both are loving and quiet, need someone to talk to them every day like I do! Neat, clean person who enjoys a peaceful setting.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Zoe and Buddy will need to be fed every day and given treats every evening. They use a dog door so they come and go as necessary into the fenced dog yard. Two inside plants to be watered once a week and outdoor plants to be watered as needed if no rain.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live on approx 6 acres with a stocked pond (catch and release). It's like living in a park, very peaceful and quiet yet neighbors within shouting distance. Grocery is 15 minutes away, approx half hour to the charming town of Ponchatoula and one hour to all that New Orleans has to offer, lots of historical sites to explore. Good WiFi!

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

In case of an emergency we will not be able to get home quickly. However, we have friends and family who would be able to assist if necessary. Please also consider that Zoe (Golden) is 14 years old and sleeps most of the day.
