We have had housesitters in the past and they have all loved our pets. The dogs love being around people and one in particular is very affectionate.
We are looking for housesitters who will make the care of our cat and three dogs their priority. We expect people will care for our home and enjoy the comfort it has to offer. There is no expectation for gardening or lawn mowing unless you feel inclined.
The main responsibilities are caring for our pets. This includes feeding, walking the dogs, and keeping the yard tidy. Apart from that we would like you to keep our home tidy, check the mailbox and put the bins out weekly.
Our home is ideally placed to river and hills for scenic walks. It is close to central Christchurch and there are a number of shopping amenities within walking distance. There are a number of cafes, restaurants and bars also close by (walking distance). Our home is warm, sunny and comfortable.
Our dogs are used to being home alone when we are at work so they can be left while you are out and about during the day. We would prefer that they are not left alone every day. They love company and being walked.
No, sorry.

Loved these little furry friends!
Dave and Karen welcomed us into their lovely old home in Somerfield, one of the beautiful leafy suburbs of Christchurch.NZ Also, eager to greet us were Ted, Billie and Rita, three Schnauzer's and Bella the cat, each with their own distinct character. We had a lovely time getting to know these characters, they were lots of fun. The house with higher ceilings was cool in the summer, the street neat and tidy, and the city centre of Christchurch, only a few minutes drive away. We really enjoyed this house mind, the animals are easy and friendly, and we can certainly recommend this stay to anyone looking to give love to these little friends, while enjoying the city of Christchurch. We kept in touch with Karen and Dave, the friendliest, laid back hosts you could get. Loved it!........thanks guys (January 2023)
