About this assignment
We are looking for a responsible dog lover who can also look after our labrador-mix Maverick (Mav).
Mav is about 65 pounds so he is strong and sometimes pulls on walks so please only those who are comfortable with this should apply.
You have to ensure he doesn't try to eat food off the ground during the walk - he is a Labrador after all! :)
Ideally we’d love a sitter with reviews please!
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Walking Mav 2-3x a day. This includes a big walk or a trip to the dog park in the morning. He is able to last a MAX of 12 hours before he goes out again so he just needs about a 15min walk in the evening after dinner.
Feeding Mav 2x day and ensuring he has water
What are the good features of the property and location
Next to One World Trade Center and Tribeca. It's a walk or a quick subway ride to anywhere you need to go. The address is 176 Broadway. Super central.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
If you are not a dog person, or cannot pick up dog poo, I'm sorry but this is not the right fit. This apartment is incredible but we really do need a responsible dog lover

Mav will get under your skin quickly
We loved our stay in centrally located appartment in Manhattan, close to all the major sights and subway. The highlight of our stay was definitely Maverick whom we grown fond of very quickly! He is such a sweetheart, we wanted to take him everywhere with us. He was so easy to take care of, he was such a good boy. Milena and Dan are great hosts, very friendly and responsive; communication with them was super easy. I can highly recommend this house-petsit and hope to be able to come back again and see Mav!

Mav is the best!
I just finished an 11 day sit with Mavrick and had the best time with him. I miss him already! He was lovely and cuddly and we got used to each other right away. He was a dream to look after and Milena and Dan were so kind and caring, assuring I had everything I needed during my stay in NYC. I hope to be able to come back to New York again to spend time with this adorable puppy and take him out to his favourite dog parks. A dream sit!

"Maverick" = Love & Light
What a beautiful, first time experience all around. Milena was so kind and wonderful to work with. I appreciated her typed outline of Mav's habits, schedule, the links of their favorite places, and the "must sees" of NYC; very helpful. Maverick is a strong walker, he often lead me, as if he was saying, "we need to go this way". He knew his way around Manhattan much better then I did. Watching him in the dog park with all his friends, was truly my highlight on both days. Mav is very popular among his gaggle of four legged friends. I also loved how he knew that the bell men kept dog biscuits on the counter. Mav would make sure to claim that prized biscuit upon returning to the building each time, so adorable. The apartment was beautiful with an amazing view from the living room. The roof top had a 365 view that was breathtaking. I will miss gentle souled Mav, he is pure "love" in all of it's form. Grateful....

Wonderful couple with unbelievably loving pup :)
We stayed at Milena and Dan's apartment for 5 days when they were away and we took care of their tremendous dog Maverick. He is love in its pure form! :) Such a good, well behaved but still cuddly and fun pup. He is wonderful during walks, listens to what you say. We loved how he was running to the door every time we were coming back from the city to greet us with a toy of his. Communication with Milena was excellent, she is so friendly and apt is stunning! Such a blessing that we were able to stay there with Mav and explore the City almost like true New Yorkers. We miss Mav so much! Thanks again for letting us stay with him! :)

Wonderful people, wonderful dog
Mav is adorable he is easy going very smart I mean he is totally switched on which makes it much easier to be with him on walks and when other dogs or kids are around. Milena and Dan made me feel very welcome and at home I did truly appreciate my time with and Mav Sean T

TIme of your life in NYC!!
Both Milena and Mav are wonderful!! Milena will keep you updated, she is super-flexible but still responsive when needed, I wish more people would be like she is! Maverick is an energy-bomb who will walk you around in Manhattan for hours, so you don't really need to waste your time with planning :) In exchange, he will sleep all night long and be very patient next morning until you wake up! The apartment is amazing in every sense... The apartment itself, the building (lounge on the top floor), the view, the location. I hope to return!

Fun time with Maverick!
Mav the doggo is a fun dog who likes to snuggle. He is playful and well behaved. Nice apartment in a great location, right by World Trade Center. Subway, stores, restaurants, etc right outside the door. Good communication with hosts. We had a wonderful time and will miss Mav. Thanks Milena and Dan!

Awesome spot w/ sweet doggo!
Pet sitting for Milena and Dan was so awesome. Maverick is so cute and lots of energy! Such a good boy! Especially on walks and going to the dog park—as long as you’re confident in your control of him he’s such a sweet companion. Their place was tidy and very neat location. Felt very safe a day and night in the area. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thanks so much Milena and Dan!

Great apartment, dog and easy going hosts.
We never got to meet Milena and Dan in person. We arrived to there wonderful apartment a few hours after they left for their own holiday. Prior to arriving we were in contact with them with questions that were addressed that even included short videos how to walk Mav. He is a real dog and for sure not a yorkie! You need to be strong and know how to walk him. Eventually you learn his habits and routine. We got used to each other and I got to take him to an outside Christmas market that was a block away. Everything is a block a way because probably 20 subway lines can be accessed from right under their new and modern building. The location could not be better. The apartment is a half block from the Oculus and the Trade Center with a mall with every type of shop you can think of. THANK YOU guys for giving us a wonderful hotel experience.
