About this assignment

We are looking for a house sitter who loves cats and dogs and who will take the two dogs for good walks in and around the hills of Bath.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The priority for the housesitter will be to look after my labrador Vanilla, my cat Sasha and my partner's lurcher Reggie at my house. You will also need to go over to my partner's house (1.3 miles away) every two days to feed his cat Scout. You will need to look after my house and garden and, if the weather is warm, you will need to water the garden, various pots and planters.

What are the good features of the property and location

The property is ideally situated in Bath, only 15 minutes walk to the city centre where you can visit the famous sights of the city and yet it is on the edge of the beautiful countryside around Bath and Bristol. You can walk for miles right from the doorstep and the Cotswold Way walking trail is just a few minutes away. The house is comfortable and with plenty of space. There is a lovely garden where you can sit out when the weather is nice. There is free parking on the drive. The house is in a quiet and peaceful area of Bath and the neighbours are nice and friendly.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The house is on a steep hill and so, wherever you walk, whether into Bath or if you are walking the dogs, there will be a steep hill to walk up or down! You will need to be fit and strong and able to manage two medium/large dogs for walks together twice a day. You will need to be able to walk 1.2 miles to my partner's house every two days to feed his cat. The dogs should not be left at home on their own longer than four or five hours. They cannot be left alone all day.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
