Only apply if you actually love dogs and plan to spend your days mostly around them. Experience, references and CARE a must. In return, you'll have a very rewarding relationship with one lovely dog and one lovely cat and a wonderful stay in the Caribbean.
The first one loves lying around while you work but is full of energy and fun for long walks and playing times and enjoys a lot of cuddles. The second one is growing up and purring away when she doesn't climb trees. I love them more than I can say. They've been part of my life for many years now so I want to make sure they're being cared for with love while I'm away.
From March to beginning of December 2025, possibly two friends or a couple so dog-sitters could keep each other company and one could go while the other one would stay if needed, the volunteers will be responsible for brushing and walking the dog every day, bathe them at least once a month, give them medicines with a piece of cheese morning and evening, keep the premises clean and tidy and relay information.
The house is 15-20 min walk from the sea, the river and a grocery shop. It has a big garden with a large variety of fruit trees.
Be ready to live in the countryside of a small developing English-speaking island (which is very different from the States). Nature is bountiful but don't except any night life around. A couple or two friends would be better so both could keep each other company and one could go while the other one would stay if needed.
Please check flight and visa requirements before applying.
Non-nationals can stay for 6 weeks first and then apply for extensions for 4 weeks first and then 6 provided they can show that they have sufficient funds to provide for themselves without working on the island.
No, sorry.
