About this assignment
Responsible, clean, experience with maintaining a house, experience with caring for cats, and must be respectful and quiet (for neighbors), no smoking, and be open to a background check
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Experience and a love for cats is a must as in addition to sitting our home, we would require care for our sweet cat, Kai. For the home, sitters will be responsible for general maintenance and cleaning for the house, watering/caring for our plants, keeping the house secure and locked, shoveling the walkway to the house when it snows
What are the good features of the property and location
We are in a very clean 2 bedroom (2nd bedroom is used as an office/meditation space), 1.5 bathroom home in Boulder.
We are walking distance from Pearl St, beautiful hiking trails, parks, and the grocery store. Safe and in a prime location!
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Interested house sitters must have experience with and a love for cats. We have a sweet 4 year old cat named Kai, who will need care, play, and love during this time we're away. Kai will be your best buddy - he is so affectionate, healthy, playful, and personable.

I house/pet for Lilanee and Preey in July 2024. I enjoyed meeting Lilanee (Preey had already left) and their cat Kai. .They have a lovely home with a great backyard where Kai and I would hang out in the cool mornings and evenings. Kai was a great cat, very easy to care for and get along with. I had a very comfortable bed and the Wifi and streaming was great. Boulder is an good place to find things to do and close to other Colorado towns. Hiking is good close to the house and at the Flatirons. Boulder Park is just 2 blocks from the duplex. I walked to Pearl Street (downtown, about 3/4 mile, good neighborhood with walkers, joggers & bikers). Lilanee and I kept in touch with texts (very timely). It was a great house/pet sit.

Wonderful experience caring for Kai
Our recent pet-sitting experience in North Boulder for Lilanee and Iain's cat, Kai, was nothing short of wonderful. For three months, my husband and I had the pleasure of residing in their two-story duplex, which boasted an enviable location. Nestled just around the corner from Whole Foods, a sprawling park, and an abundance of scenic hiking trails, the home also enjoyed proximity to downtown, a mere mile away. The living space itself impressed us with its cleanliness and spaciousness, featuring a generously sized bedroom and an extra study room that provided the perfect sanctuary for our yoga and meditation practices. The neighborhood's ambiance added to the overall charm, with friendly and respectful neighbors contributing to a peaceful living environment. The tranquility was further enhanced by the minimal noise, allowing us to fully enjoy the delightful fenced-in backyard. It was in this serene outdoor space that we spent countless joyful hours with Kai, a cat whose endearing personality is impossible to overstate. Kai, with his affectionate nature, love for cuddles, and playful demeanor, quickly became the heart of our daily lives. His fondness for chin and belly scratches, coupled with his enthusiasm for games, made caring for him an absolute pleasure. Kai's presence was a constant source of happiness, effortlessly bringing smiles to our faces. Throughout our stay, Lilanee and Iain were incredibly responsive and supportive, ensuring any queries or needs we had were promptly and effectively addressed. Their attentiveness and willingness to accommodate our needs spoke volumes of their character, making our experience not just comfortable, but truly exceptional. Anyone fortunate enough to spend time with Kai, or meet Lilanee and Iain, would undoubtedly consider themselves lucky.
