We are looking for a responsible, kind, and dog-loving house sitter. We are a young expat family that occasionally visits our home countries for extended periods. If we could bring our dog with us, we surely would! But unfortunately our sweet dog must stay home. So we are looking for someone trustworthy to be with her.
We hope that this would be a beneficial situation for both, as our apartment is quite spacious and a great landing pad for a Singapore tourist or just a Singaporean who wants to stretch their legs.
.
2 short doggy walks per day as well as food and water. Time at home is helpful as our dog is used to having company. She loves to watch TV and relax with her humans as much as possible, but she can also stay home alone for 4-5 hours at a time. Plants on the balcony also need water once per day.
By Singapore standards our apartment is very large. We have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an office. We take pride in our home and keep it very clean and organized. We've got siri speakers in 3 rooms, Apple TV, and almost all lightbulbs can change color/brightness by an app. Cleanliness is important to us. It's 1600 square feet. We have a lovely balcony that overlooks one of the pools on the property. Many birds and parrots live in the trees by our balcony. It's very pretty, especially in the morning.
The condo itself is lovely. It has 2 pools, a grassy lawn (where doggys meet), basketball court, gym, squash court, reading room, grocery, and walking paths. It is a living facility for expats only, so there is a great community and friendliness when walking outside. It's a lovely environment to live/stay.
Location is directly next to a park and 10 mins walk to the mall. It's about a 15 min drive to central touristy spots. Public transport is not amazing but it is functional. It would take about 45min to 1 hr to get downtown. Cabs are very cheap in Singapore though, one can get downtown for under $20 SGD most times.
-Would you be able to spend time with the dog during the day/evening? Not just walks only?
-For tourists, note that this location is not in central. Singapore is small, so it's not far, but you would need to commute.
No, sorry.

Diddy doodle Didi in Singapore
This was a great housesit in a lovely apartment in the western half of Singapore some 10km from the downtown area. I was able to borrow a bicycle from the hosts and this was really helpful in allowing me to get around. The condo is amazing with two pools and a gym. It's about 2km from the nearest MRT. Grab food can deliver from plenty of great restaurants thereabouts. There's a handy little Cold Storage on site too. Didi is a lovely little gal, very affectionate and super keen to play. Extremely good with children and quite the pet for making friends with basically. There's Netflix laid on and a giant TV plus super fast WiFi. Great place, great owners, cross your fingers and pray you get chosen for this one! :))

Dozen days with delightful Didi
This was a hugely enjoyable housesit. The main reason was Didi who was such a perfect buddy for the twelve days I spent with her. She's a great bundle of joy who barked liked crazy when we first met as if she thought I was a real bad actor! However, we soon became best pals and we we were hardly out of each other's company for the duration. She's a sweetheart who is much loved obviously by her owners, but also has loads of friends at the massive condominium where we took our walks. There are two swimming pools on site and about the only time I was parted from Didi was when I had a swim in the morning and again around dusk. Really pleasant!! A gym is also available though gyms aren't my thing. I walked passed it several times and it seems very well equipped. The apartment is modern and spacious. Internet speeds about as fast as you can get anywhere in the world, so good for homeworkers. Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV a great bonus. There's a small format Cold Storage about 200m away for all your eating requirements plus of course Grab Food will deliver whatever you like to your door. The owners were good enough to give me permission to use one of their two bicycles so I could travel further afield. Bottom.line is this: if you are lucky enough to be chosen to house sit and look after Didi then you have won first prize!! Totally recommend!!
