Cat-sit in central Malmö - 1 week in October

About this assignment

My boyfriend Johan and I are travelling to Italy to celebrate his 30th birthday and are therefore looking for a cat-sitter to take care of our friendly and sometimes cheeky 4 year old female cat Willow and our charming male kitten Charlie (he’ll be almost 7 months at the time of the sit). They are both indoor cats but are happy to go explore the courtyard on a leash occasionally :)

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Cuddle and play with Willow and Charlie! Of course, also feed them and empty the litter box. We hope you would leave the apartment as we leave it (tidy + clean).

What are the good features of the property and location

Our apartment building is located in central Malmö on the car-free street Friisgatan, with great train/bus connections, and walking distance to pretty much everything you would need! We live on the first floor (one staircase up) with restaurants/bars along the street below. Our apartment (74 sqm) has beautiful turn-of-the-century details but also a modern kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is spacious and has a dishwasher, there is a washing machine + dryer in the bathroom. The bed is 180cm, and in the living room you have a TV with Netflix and dining table (which also works as a desk if you are working from home - we have a computer screen available and WiFi of course). You’re welcome to borrow my bike too!

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We will be leaving on the afternoon of the 15th October and are back on the evening of the 23rd. Since we only have the one bed, we unfortunately can't offer accommodation prior to the 15th or after the 23rd.

Non-smokers only please.

Our street can be quite lively and being an old building (1904) the sound-proofing is unfortunately not always the best. We can sometimes hear music from the Chilean bistro-bar right under the apartment (Paloma) which is open latest to 01:00 on Fridays and Saturdays. Though we have become somewhat accustomed to this, we realise this could be a disturbance to some and wish to be transparent!
