About this assignment

I would like someone willing to play with my dogs and take them to the nearby river for good exercise in the morning. I like to be informed of an issues as soon as possible.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The dogs need to be fed twice a day. Rio, the yellow lab loves to play ball.Basic housekeeping would be nice. Gardening is an added plus.

What are the good features of the property and location

My house is 10 minutes from the beach. You can walk to town from my house. Uvita has a farmers market twice a week. There is a river and swimming hole close by.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Unfortunately I don’t have a pool. At times there are frequent power outages, but they usually don’t last long. Someone should be physically fit enough to walk the dogs in the neighborhood. There is a veterinarian within walking distance.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes

Testimonials

Uvita Casa Perros

I had the pleasure of house/pet sitting for Karen in April and May 2024. I really enjoyed being able to spend time in Uvita, close to the Whale's Tail - Bahlia Ballena National Park which was spectacular at low tide. Karen's house is in a lush tropical setting and I woke up to the sounds of howler monkeys, maccaws and an assortment of other birds. Karen's dogs Summer, Socks, Rio and Pinto are a happy bunch and Tyra also joined us. Lily, the cute kitten is a purring playful tiger cat and has an adorable personality, she likes to cuddle in bed. Caring for 5 dogs was a handful at times for 1 person to care for but manageable. They like their routine of being fed twice day and never beg for food in between which was a pleasent surprise. Their other daily routine of walks to the bamboo forest and Rio Uvita was the highlight of each day. Watching them play and swim in the in the crystal clear water was an amazing experience and I wiill miss that. Karen was always responsive when I had any concerns and communication was never a problem. It was a great experience housesitting for Karen and I will miss the fun personalities of the perros and gato.
