Care for our rescue dog in the Netherlands

About this assignment

Ideally you have experience with rescue dogs, even better if you have experience with podencos. Calm and patient person needed. Olvi will take a little time to trust you. She is anxious and easily overwhelmed. Once she knows you she's is a very funny and sweet dog. She loves her home so we believe the best option is for someone to come and stay with her.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Walking, feeding, playing with Olvi. Olvi doesn't like to get up early especially when it's cold and/or wet so you can have a lie in! She can be left alone for up to 5 hours maximum. Watering plants. Other than that you can enjoy the area and the Netherlands. Train station is close by and you can borrow a bike.

What are the good features of the property and location

Spacious house with garden in Geldrop. King size double bed. Another bedroom available if you are a family. Office room with sit/stand desk if you need to work. Train station less than 10 minutes cycle away (we can lend you a bike). Close to nature, forest, river and moorland areas all within walking distance. Grocery stores also very close.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Olvi might take time to accept you. She is not aggressive but anxious and easily overwhelmed. Need to be patient.
The dates suggested are not final, we are looking for someone for approximately 1 week, we can fit with your plans if you are the right person. Most important to us is finding the right person for Olvi, then we'll book our trip. We would be with you the first one or two days to allow Olvi to get used to you and we can show you around.
