About this assignment

A responsible person who cares about dogs and who gives them the love and attention they need for the 7-9 days I am away every month. Someone who is fine with remote work (we have fast broadband) and a quiet, rural environment.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Esme and Shadow are pretty low-maintenance, as we let them run on our nearly 4 acres whenever they need to go out (although they do still enjoy walks). Letting them sleep in the same room with you and not leaving them alone for long stretches of time, as well as feeding, giving water, and treats is enough to keep them happy.

What are the good features of the property and location

The property is on a mountain and surrounded by forest, and off the nearest road so it's very quiet. A ski resort is only a mile away, and excellent museums and cultural and music venues are as little as 15 minutes away, giving an excellent blend of the rural while enjoying arts as well.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Technically, I only need a dog-sitter for 7-9 days each month when I am away working, which usually occurs from the 12th-19th or so, although it may vary a day or two on either side of that depending on the month. However, I am happy to consider if someone wants to stay longer even when I am here; you would have your own guest bedroom and bathroom and of course access to the kitchen.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
