About this assignment

Hello this is Giona and Marcela. We would love to find someone who will spend quality time with our cats Ziggy (yes, like the great Ziggy Stardust) and Roxy (not necessarily out of love for Roxy Music). Given the situation, we are happy to have a single sitter, a couple, or a small family. While our cats are independent they like spending time with their humans and any attention will be rewarded with their love (they have a lot of it to give!), and unique personalities. As every cats they have their special needs and while they are not rocket science, we appreciate if you are someone who understands this. We also have put effort in making our home cozy so we hope you will like spend time enjoying the welcoming vibes (with our cats) while being respectful of the features and things we have collected. No smoking allowed in the house!

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

If you are in the business you might already know most of the thrills of house/cat sitting. To make it simple this is a check list of what we would like you to do:

- Feed the cats (2x day) and make sure they have water
- Clean their litter regularly and occasionally change it with new sand.
- Water the plants in the house
- Keep the house clean
- Keep us up to date with news about the cats, and anything else that is relevant.
- Look after tools and house contents available to use, as if it was yours.
- Keep the house secure

What are the good features of the property and location

Trust me, it is hard to summarise how much the area has to offer!

When you feel like taking a break from our cozy house and lovely cats so much goes on within a short walk distance. We feel blessed by having the luxury of enjoying the best of two worlds: getting lost in the canals and local nature or jumping on the Victoria Line, London's best underground line, to get to the city centre. The Victoria Line connects Walthamstow (North-East) to Brixton (South-West) cutting through the very heart of the city (Oxford Circus is just 20 min ride) very quickly and regularly, including a 24hrs service on Fridays and Saturdays! PROPERTY FEATURES:
- 2 spacious bedrooms (main + studio with a very comfortable sofa bed)
- Use of spacious, south-facing garden (plus outdoor furniture)
- A gas BBQ
- Open plan kitchen - living - dining with plenty of natural light (sorry, we can't guarantee the sun!)
- Comfortable hammock in the livingroom where to chill listening music, watching a movie, or being cuddled by our cats!
- Great soundystem (it also is a multicast, so you can connect devices, TV and other devices)
- A TV (sorry not a smart TV. However, we have an Apple TV that can connect you to your Netflix account if you want)
- Use of 2 bikes


LOCATION FEATURES:
This can get crazy (as mentioned above) so I will limit to a list of features around the corner in addition to others within a short walk distance. Please feel free to ask more details.

- A great pub at the end of the road. They host events and have good food
- A supermarket (Coop)
- Organic shop + other independent shops and cafes
- A nice park for all ages with plenty of activities and features (tennis courts*; basketball court; footbal field; open air gym; 2x playgrounds; community centre)
- A post office

- 6 independent breweries and 1 winery (they all serve amazing food and host regular events including music, quiz nights, markets, comedy shows...)
- A delicious bakery you will probably get addicted to for the rest of your life!
- A canal that extends for miles North (all the way to Epping Forest - 20 min cycling) and South to Central London where you can walk/run/cycle. You can literally visit several amazing neighbourhoods without ever meeting a car!
- The beautiful Lloyd Park, home to the William Morris Gallery and an amazing Farmer's Market on Saturdays
- A wetland that extends for miles, dotted with water reservoirs, animals, historical buildings and loses in the forest nearby
- More restaurants and delis

BONUS:
You can reach Epping forest with a 20 min ride on the bike alongside teh canal or through public transport.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Plese be aware that Ziggy and Roxy are lovely and ridiculously addictive! As any cat they have their needs and peculiar characters. They like to sleep with us on the bed and we love them to. They might, as well decide to do the same with the sitters, or not. We hope they accept Ziggy and Roxy's love but they will be happy to negotiate their own terms (with the cats).

Additionally, Ziggy is 11 and Roxy 12, perfectly healthy and they do not need to take any medications. We hope that if anything happens to change their condition, we will be updated (we are available the whole time via Whatsapp) on what necessary steps to take and the health of our cats will be the sitter/s' priority.

Note that there two pweriods are shown in the ad. They can be slightly adjusted to our needs and those of the sitter. Only one of the two will be given, with priority to the longer length.
