House and Pet sitting on 8 acre working horse ranch just 20 minutes from Hollywood and the Beach

About this assignment

We are looking for a responsible, reliable, kind and cooperative animal lover who appreciates a ranch environment. Our horses are cared for by ranch hands but the house pets and plants need your love and attention!

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We have a 14 year old dog named Boz, a 6 month old golden retriever puppy named Ruby Jane and a 2 year old Maine Coon cat named Daisy Mayhem. Boz gets daily meds, the pup needs attention and walks. The cat... well, she will let you know :)

What are the good features of the property and location

We have a beautiful 8 acre paradise in Los Angeles. We are 20 minutes from downtown LA, 20-30 minutes to Hollywood and 45 minutes to Venice Beach but you feel like you are in the country when you are at home. We have a great cook's kitchen and a beautiful wrap around deck for lounging. We have fast WiFi, a fireplace in the bedroom and hiking trails out the door. Oh, and 50 beautiful horses frolicking on the 3.5 acre hillside is our "back yard".

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Because of the animals (and especially the young pup) this does require being home at regular intervals (a 12 hour Disneyland trip, for example, doesn't really fit this program) but we have a really wonderful property if you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful place to unwind and bring in the New Year at home.
