Dog sit between Budapest and lake Balaton

About this assignment

Hi,

We're looking for someone (or a couple, or a family) who enjoys walking and playing with our "Mazy". Throwing lots of balls is required. She's a very easy dog, but with enough border-collie energy. We have a large garden fenced off (2000m²) and many walking options nearby.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We will be gone for 3 days (but expect you to arrive the day before). When we are gone you walk, feed, cuddle and play with our bodercollie "Mazy". She's quite OK with being alone during the day. The chicken (Samsung) needs water and food as well. Coming sooner or staying longer is no problem the appartment is free.

What are the good features of the property and location

You have your own appartment above our house, fully equiped (is a rental) for 4 people. Lake Balaton is 12 km, Budapest is 1 hour by car or by train. Railway station at 5 km. Berhida is a small, rural village but with all necessary stuff. Bikes are available too. The roe deer are always around when you go out of the garden (even visible from the house). The wood-sauna is functional and the swimming pond will be warm. Hungary has many beautiful things to offer at short distance of our home, while Berhida itself offers peace and quiet.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

In Budapest English is spoken everywhere, in Berhida somewhat less, but you'll manage (google translate helps). Hungarian is really difficult. Many older people speak German as well.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: Our Mazy is non-dominant and doesn't like (is scared of) very dominant dogs but all others are welcome. Large fenced garden.
