About this assignment

Must love dogs (Well, Boston Terriers, anyway)! I will be traveling and need an experienced house and pet sitter to take care of Hobie while I am away. My regular pet sitter, found years ago through Trusted Housesitter, has retired and I am in search of someone new. The dates are posted, but if you would like to arrive early and/or leave later than those dates, we can work that out! I am looking for someone honest, responsible, neat, clean, non-smoker, and available for the duration of the sit. References preferred.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

During your stay, you will be primarily responsible for all care related to Hobie. This includes feeding, regular walks, medicine (once a month), playtime, etc., and face grooming - wiping eyes and putting in eye drops as needed. There isn't much to do in terms of the house - just relax!

What are the good features of the property and location

My home is a 1600 sq.ft. 2-bedroom/2-bath condominium in a quiet condo community with a pool, clubhouse, and gym. You will have access to the entire home. The master bedroom has a queen bed and there will be plenty of space in the closet and dresser for your things! The second bedroom is used primarily as a yoga room but does have a small sofa futon and a queen air mattress with a headboard. Fully equipped kitchen. In addition to central AC, all rooms and the porch have ceiling fans.

Enjoy summer evenings on the screened-in porch in our small, quiet condo community. Friendly neighbors. Convenient location to everything you need in town. Not far from town greenways or a day trip to the coast! High-speed wi-fi and a dedicated office space. Ring doorbell and a security system. I do not have a TV, but I will purchase a smart TV if you would like to have one during your stay.

Greenville, NC is a lovely college town with lots to offer just over an hour away from the beautiful NC coast! I invite you to make yourself at home and explore the area with Hobie! He loves car rides and going shopping, to outdoor restaurants, etc.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Please consider the time you will be able to dedicate to Hobie daily. He is well-trained and good with commands. He does great on loose-leash walks and is very social. He loves to say hi to every human and dog he meets. He is not crate-trained but does have a playpen he can stay in, but he should not left alone for more than 3-4 hours at a time. I do not have a TV, but I will get a smart TV if you would like to have one during your stay.
