About this assignment

I'm looking for someone experienced with cats and with reviews, preferably on TrustedHousesitters, Rover or MindMyHouse. If you have a clear criminal check, even better.

No smokers, no parties and no strangers being invited over, please. I prefer a single traveller or two female friends/couples as Betty is used to women. No other pets, I'm afraid.

I have reviews as a sitter that I can share with you but this is my first time actually looking for a sitter.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Betty's human is leaving for 9 days (31st March - 9th April) and she'd like some company, regular feeding, litter cleaning, play time and cuddles.

ABOUT BETTY
Betty is a young, quiet and calm cat, but can be playful when mood strikes. She was recently adopted, so she's quite clingy and wary still, always checking that you're there and that there's food.

She doesn't have any behavioural problems or medical needs but sometimes gets a runny eye which needs to be gently wiped clean with a damp towel.

She loves to play with balls (she can fetch!), creamy treats and lap time.

What are the good features of the property and location

THE FLAT
It's a one-bedroom flat on the second floor (no lift) with the kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, balcony, WiFi and Netflix.

There's a parking spot allocated to our flat, if you're coming with a car.

SUPETAR AND BRAC ISLAND
Supetar is the biggest town on the island.

From the flat you can walk to the port (15-20 min walk)and cafes, or to the supermarket, so you don't need public transport.

You can easily get a bus to Bol to see the famous Golden Horn beach or to Pucisca, but to have full freedom of exploration I recommend renting a bike, scooter or a car.

Ferry to Split runs 10 times a day, so you can easily pop over to Split for some sightseeing and exploration of nearby area.

It might be a bit too cold for swimming but you can brave it like some locals do!

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

BEFORE YOU APPLY please check flights to Split, as that's the nearest airport. At this time of the year there aren't many low budget flights.

Other suitable airports would be Zadar (2hrs from Split) or Dubrovnik (4 hrs by bus or by catamaran).

If you're interested in this sit, please use the word 'Betty Boop' somewhere in the message so I know you've read the whole ad and tell me a bit about yourself and your experience and also how do you plan on getting there.

It would be nice if you can get there day before (30th), to show you around and introduce you to Betty (you'll have a room ready for you).

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
